I want more (by tinakproducts) |
amazing casting! I'm not a Tupac fan, but I felt like it was a journey into the east coast- west coast rivalry which I've heard about for decades & now understand. Learning about his love for family and their history helped me understand more about Tupac and although I'm not in the industry to write a detailed review, it fed my mind enough to want to learn more about him and his journey. This peaked my interest to delve deeper into the world of gangsta rap and the people involved, friends and foes. The chess game of life on steroids. It's rare that I think about a movie the <more> |
The best movie ever (by jordankumi1987) |
All Eyez On Me is the best movie ever. The movie is made perfectly. The actor that plays 2pac plays 2pac perfectly. 2pac was the greatest black person of the hip hop era and this movie does an excellent job of showing that and also the incredible impact he had on America. All Eyez on Me is better than Straight Outta Compton. Straight Outta Compton made Eazy-E look weak and soft. All Eyez on Me shows 2pac as the ultimate gangster. Definitely go see this movie in the theaters as many times as you possibly can. And support the legacy of the greatest rapper of all time ... 2Pac. |
Outstanding (by andreame-98028) |
I have been a die-hard fan of Tupac for the past 15 years. I too had a very difficult upbringing, and nothing provided the comfort and motivation I needed during those difficult times quite like Pac's music. All Eyez On Me did a very good job of encapsulating Pac's life and his art. Does it cover everything about Tupac? Of course not, no movie can. He was a complex American idol, and if you want to learn more about him, there are books and other films on his life and art to check out in addition to this one. I would highly recommend his book of poetry, 'The Rose That Grew From <more> |
I loved it ☆☆☆☆☆ (by leilua-49617) |
I didn't have any preconceived notions about this movie, after all there can only be one Tupac right. But the movie was awesome and not the least overcooked with stereotypical characters. However I was kinda expecting to see the dessert scene from California Love & a little more 90s Ghetto Fabulousness. The lead man Demetrius did an awesome job of playing Tupac had his eyes & scowl down pat , but didn't quite pull off the Wings n Abs. The movie sounds out some worthwhile take home messages young men & minority youth need to hear & I know they'll all be checking <more> |
I was not disappointed. (by crystalholloway47) |
How can anyone hate this movie. I loved it. The details as to what happened during Tupac's life is told vividly. It had a lot of truth to it regarding racial relations that a lot of people wouldn't be able to handle but I loved every second. I think the actors were spectacular. You can see the emotion through every word. |
Completely underrated film... (by retailnoob1980) |
This movie has gotten a lot of hate...and I don't understand it. Fantastic acting, good pace, and very accurate at least a REAL 2Pac fan will know it is . Personally thought it was better than Straight Outta Compton, which was also a very good film. Demetrius Shipp completely embodies Tupac, it's so eerie how much he looks like him honestly. Very good movie that you should watch for yourself and ignore all critics and their opinions. |
Demetrius Shipp Jr embodies Pac! (by dwcorlew) |
Throughout the movie I was captivated by his performance, so much so that I rate this movie 8 out of 10. He studied Pac and channeled him into his performance flawlessly. I found myself focusing on his performance and how he portrayed Pac for about 80% of the movie. However, the storytelling seems to be inconsistent; jumping back and forth between his youth and early days up until his prison time in 1995. Personally I feel it had an impact on the flow of the movie. If they had started from day one rather than hopping back and forth I feel this movie could have been an easy 10 out of 10. It <more> |
It was good, but no movie is without flaws. (by Crown_22) |
I've read mixed reviews of All Eyez On Me before seeing it in theaters myself. Some reviews praised it and some were a bit harsh. I was a little worried while watching it but overall, I must say that I did enjoy it. The good things about it is that most of the actors played their part very well. Tupac, Afeni, Jada Pinkett, and Suge Knight were very well done, especially Tupac. Props to Demetrius Shipp Jr. The music throughout the movie was really good and played perfectly in the scenes chosen. I only have a couple of problems with the movie without going into too much detail. The editing <more> |
An interesting, if slightly uneven look at the short life and legacy of one of the most iconic figures in the world of hip-hop (by MrDHWong) |
All Eyez On Me is the biopic about the iconic rapper/actor Tupac "2Pac" Shakur. Starring newcomer Demetrius Shipp Jr. in the lead role, the film brings to life the story of a highly influential musician by focusing on the person he was, rather than just who he was on- stage. The film showcases the life of the renowned hip-hop musician Tupac Amaru Shakur Demetrius Shipp Jr. , from his early years as the son of Black Panther Party member Afeni Shakur Danai Gurira , his rise to fame as a rapper and actor, his time in prison, to his fatal shooting in 1996 at the young age of <more> |
