| There wasn't much choice when myself and my parents were deciding what to go and watch in the cinema. It was either this or The Best Marigold Hotel. We watched previews for both and they looked okay. However the only reason we ended up seeing this film was it was being shown in afternoon too. We were hooked for the hour and a half it was on. Plently of gun action and thrills throughout. Sigourney Weaver and Bruce Wilis play brilliant parts. Film kept me guessing as to who was bad guy and who wasn't. Best film on in cinema at the moment. | Everyone bashes every film these days.. *sigh* The movie is brilliant, great acting throughout the film, epic and thrilling action sequences, and a good story. The writing was solid and the direction was great. I will now talk about each main actors skill in the film. Henry Cavill: Extremely solid acting, Cavill has really shown that he is an incredible actor in everything he's in. Is best films so far are Man of Steel and most certainly The Cold Light of Day. | I noted 10 because: - I found the film entertaining and I never got boredThe film was unpretentious and often funny The acting was descent The scenery was nice There was just enough action I was extremely surprised by the awful reputation of this filmIf you don't want to see a film many times until eventually understanding the story, and are just looking for a simply enjoyable evening that will not imply complexities, this film is not a bad choice. |

| I am writing my first review on IMDb and i was forced to write after i watched this awesome movie...If you have seen "Taken" and have liked it you will love this one. Awesome movie keeps you on the edge of the seatVery nice plot and very well executed..please watch this one and 4.8 is pretty less for a movie of this caliber..I like the protagonist of the movie as he is not a star like his father but does his best for his family. | I have no clue why this movie has such bad reviews. I enjoyed the movie and thought it was a different type of action movie than we normally see. When I first started the movie I didn't know the main character was played by Henry Caville who is starring as Superman in the upcoming Man of Steel movie. I actually prefer his character in this movie versus the previews I've seen for Man of Steel. Anyways, I like the the idea of agents in the American government being corrupt and another country stepping in to help save the day as well as an ordinary guy. | I just saw this in the theater. This is all I can say without including spoilers: The movie kept me entertained throughout. I felt some tension through much of the movie and there was some suspense as well. While the overall story was good, the script was pretty weak - some scenes that were supposed to be tense actually made people laugh in the theater! | I was surprised! This is actually a good movie, and once again a reminder that I'm not relying on "critics"; they are biased and closed minded. I think they were mostly Bruce Willis fans thinking this was another Die Hard type of movie. Most of them complained about Bruce's appearances not being enough. | I enjoyed the movie because it had a plausible plot. The action was better than Borne style spy thriller. Bruce Willis was the type of spy you can believe in and it was not labored in any fashion. The movie took on several twists and turns which you could believe because they were ones that you would never guess. I like the actors in the movie because they were real and not phony. Weaver was a believable villain with a heart of stone. The movie ended right and hopefully there will be a sequel.
